London is not only the capital of Great Britain but also one of the world’s centers of fashion and entertainment, art and… karaoke. The city with a population of about 10 million is full of all kinds of karaoke establishments. Such a wide choice means everyone will be able to pick something to their liking. Here are 5 London karaoke bars that are an absolute must on your holiday itinerary.
Lucky Voice

Address: 84 Chancery Lane, Across London, WC2A 1DL
Karaoke price: £7+ per hour per person.

Lucky Voice is a well-known London karaoke bar chain. You can find the most notable one of them in Holborn. People literally call it “the temple of joy”. It is designed for 80 people in the main bar and for another 120 in ten separate VIP booths which can accommodate from 4 to 30 guests.
The Lucky Voice design won’t let you forget, not even for a moment, why you came here – and that is to sing and to have fun. A noisy cocktail hall and its velvet stools; a DJ… A karaoke booth where you can record yourself singing and immediately send it to all of your friends who didn’t happen to be cool enough to go to karaoke with you.
Each VIP booth has light and color disco equipment that you can adjust any way you like it with personal remote control. There are disco balls even in the restrooms. And for those who lack courage, there is always a “Thirsty” button at hand. It will let the waiter know that you need something to drink.
Mama Shelter

Address: 437 Hackney Road, E28PP

Mama Shelter is a hotel and a restaurant with some of the best karaoke rooms in London. You should probably not only come here in the evening to enjoy some singing but also rent a room and stay for the night as well. All their rooms have home theatres and all the guests get a pizza and cava (Spanish champagne) as a gift. The highlight of Mama Shelter is its Japanese-style karaoke room.
In addition to the festive atmosphere, the establishment is also famous for its cuisine. That’s why you should probably get ready to have put on some weight when leaving this place as it’s just impossible to resist. Normally it’s not too easy to get a seat by just walking in, so you should take care and book a table in advance.

Although at first glance, Bethnal Green looks most like a typical London pub, that’s definitely not so. As soon as you get inside, you realize this is a very peculiar and beautiful place. Star of Bethnal Green is a new view on what it means to be a friendly local pub with an assortment of exciting features. The pub is especially well-known for its parties and Idris Elba’s performances in particular: this world-famous actor sometimes DJs here.
The most important part of the pub for us though is its basement where there is a small karaoke room for 15 people only. It is extremely hard to get into this holy of holies of Bethnal Green without a prior reservation. After all, as they say, the karaoke here is one of the best in the entire East End. The prices are pretty high as well: £49 per hour per person on weekdays and £69 – at the weekend.

Karaoke contests take place here twice a week and unfailingly attract a lot of enthusiastic singers. And for the rest of the guests, a small karaoke room is open every evening.
